The Houston Texans are heading into Week 7 of the regular season which also is the team’s Bye Week. This is a welcome week of rest; and to make plans for the playoff push in the coming weeks. There are some key dates approaching that apply to various players on the active & inactive roster.
October 23rd: The first date that tight end C.J. Fiedorowicz could return to practice. There have been no new reports regarding the health of Fiedorowicz.
October 31st: The deadline for trading players ends at 3 PM CST on this day. This would represent the deadline for a possible trade of Duane Brown. Also note that any player released from a team after this deadline will go through the waiver process, including vested veterans.
November 6th – 11th: The team could activate C.J. Fiedorowicz during this span to make him available for the Week 10 match against the Los Angeles Rams. If the team does designate Fiedorowicz as a return from injury player; the team will need to remove another player from the active 53 man roster.
November 28th: Brian Cushing is eligible to return from his 10 game suspension. The team will likely make a decision to retain or release Cushing depending on the health of the linebacker core, and the team’s record moving towards the playoffs. If the team chooses to retain Cushing, then another player will need to be removed from the active 53 man roster.
