NFLPA spoke with player agents this morning concerning the 2015 salary cap projection. Per Tom Pelissero of USA Today the NFLPA has projected the 2015 salary cap to be no less than $143 million. Expectedly this is above the $138 – $141 million projection from the NFL. This is the first year for the NFLPA to release an official team salary cap projection.
Based on a $143 million salary cap, the tender amounts are as follows:
- First Right of Refusal: $1.539 million
- 2nd Round: $2.351 million
- 1st Round: $3.347 million
The FROR tender amount will be applied to the base salary for Ben Jones, Brandon Brooks, and Jared Crick as those players met the requirements to earn the Proven Performance Escalator. I will update the team salary cap space page to reflect the $143 million projection, salary increases for PPE, and the upcoming $561,000 team adjustment for work out pay.
